Good News Admission for Nursery 2013 begins

News of Admission to Nursery for Academic year 2014-2015.


The Admission process to Nursery (pre-kindergarten) will begin from 20th November 2013. Only Child born between 01-01-2011 to 31-12-2011 are eligible for the admission to Nursery.


Documents required for Admission:
One photocopy of Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation.
Proof of Residence for Vasant Vihar residents (owners)
Photocopy of any one of the following:
1.           Sale Agreement Copy;
2.           MSEDCL Bill in the name of Parents;
3.           MTNL Bill in parents name;
4.           Adhar Card of Parent;
5.           Voters Id Card of the Parent.

Further please note as per policy of the School, Vasant Vihar residents will be given preference. Siblings are eligible for applying Admission.


      The Dates on which Admission Forms for Nursery will be disbursed from the School Office are notified as:

Dt. 20th November 2013 (Wednesday);
Dt. 21st November 2013 (Thursday) &
Dt. 22nd November 2013 (Friday)
Timings: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 noon.

      The Dates on which Admission Forms for Nursery will be accepted by the School Office are notified as:

Dt. 20th November 2013 (Wednesday);
Dt. 21st November 2013 (Thursday) &
Dt. 22nd November 2013 (Friday).
Timings: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 noon.

      The Results & display of List of selected students will be notified on the Notice Board of the School on Tuesday the 3rd day of December 2013 @5:00p.m.

        After a child is selected the further Admission formalities & documents verification will be completed on:
Dt. 4th December 2013 (Wednesday);
Dt. 5th December 2013 (Thursday) &
Dt. 7th December 2013 (Saturday).

Timings: Would be Notified on the Schools’ Notice Board.

    Dear Amit,
    The dates, forms & formalities for admission to Jr. kg are generally Notified on the Notice Board of the School, after mid-December till may be Jan-Feb each year, you will have to personally visit and check or enquire the same from the School Office. The dates for the same are yet not notified. Seats in Junior Kg are very limited, (vacancy is created only in case of drop-outs) since the main quota of admission is utilized at the time of Nursery Admission. Further generally the School prefer wards of Local residents.

      Yes ofcourse, Please submit the Admission form of your ward as per the Schedule, but generally 1st Preference would be Vasant Vihar residents.

      Seats in all standards above Junior Kg are very limited, (vacancy is created only in case of drop-outs) since the main quota of admission is utilized at the time of Nursery Admission. The forms & dates for admission to 1st STD are not yet notified, remain in constant touch with the School.

      Seats in Junior Kg are very limited, (vacancy is created only in case of drop-outs) since the main quota of admission is utilized at the time of Nursery Admission. Further generally the School prefers wards of Local residents, so it will not be out of proportion to say that all depends upon the luck factor. Based upon my personal experience, the figure could be anywhere between “10-50” so keep your fingers crossed.

    Dear Mr.Rathod,

    Is close location residents are given 1st preference when it comes to Nursery Admission for my son?
    I have my daughter studying in Vasant Vihar STD II and she got the admission when I was staying near Kapurbawdi, Thane.
    Now, I have shifted to Siddhachal, Thane, walking distance to Vasant Vihar School. Will this give me a good opportunity when it comes to preference?

    Our daughter is born in April 2011. We are residents of Vasant Vihar but are currently in Australia and plan to send her to nursery from 2014. I hear that the forms for these are available now.
    - Can we have someone(our parents or friends) fill the form on our behalf.
    - Is there a interview for parents/child for admission to nursery.
    - Can she get admission to Junior KG directly for 2015?

    I am bit confused on the age criteria. Child born on Jan-2011 will be 3.5 yrs till jun-14 and that is when your nursery batch will start. Ideally by 3.5 yrs a child must be in Jr. Kg. Can you pls explain why this difference..

    I stay in Brahmand Ghodbunder Road. My daughter was born on 20th June'11. I had gone to the school office today and it was mentioned on the board that the Nursery admissions has been put on hold in Vasant Vihar School by the govt. I came to understand only yesterday that the forms were available in Nov'13 whereas most of the schools start in December period. I want 1 form for my daughter for her Nursery admission. Pls let me know if there are any chances to get 1 form now & if the admission will be possible.

    Dear all,

    THE MAHARASHTRA'S EDUCATION DIRECTIVES HAVE LEFT PARENTS ANGUISHED AND SCHOOLS CONFUSED.

    Even though many pre-primary schools and nurseries are almost through with their admission process, it seems that like last year, the State director of education has issued a directive asking all Schools, to stop the admission process. The State director is of an opinion that the process of admission to pre-school should take place in April.

    Thus the Vasant Vihar School’s admission process appears to have been put on hold until further Notice.

    I know that the parents are very confused as to, when the admission process is expected to begin, whether they will have to again refill the forms, etc.

    BUT AT THE MOMENT ALL I WILL SUGGEST IS PLEASE DON’T WORRY, JUST WAIT FOR THE STATE’S DECISION/ FURTHER ORDERS AND REMAIN IN CONSTANT TOUCH WITH THE SCHOOL.

      Thanks for the reply Mr. Rathod. But i have some more queries. 1. i have still not got the form. Will the school distribute new forms again in future for Nursery Admission 2014-15 ?? 2. If the govt directs the school to obtain admission in April, is that applicable to all the schools or only Vasant Vihar ? If only vasant vihar, and if i am not sure if new forms will be distributed or not, other schools might not accept admission after January? I am very keen on getting admission in Vasant Vihar School thats why these queries.

      At this stage, your guess work is as good as mine.

      1. If the State director of education directs to reissue forms, then yes the said process could be repeated & then you have a chance.
      2. I guess the directives are not limited to Vasant Vihar School & so very less chance that other schools might issue forms & if they do, I am afraid you have to take a decision like other parents.

      Remember it’s never the End of the Road, if you are not able to get your child admitted in the school of your preference.

      For the moment relax, adopt a Wait & Watch and Keep your fingers crossed.

    Dear Sir,
    My son was born on 03rd November'11. I had gone to the school office on Friday and I was informed that Nursery admissions has been put on hold in Vasant Vihar School until the further notice by the government. I was also informed that the Nursery admission forms were available in Nov'13, however most of the schools start their admission process somewhere in the month of December. I am very keen on getting admission in Vasant Vihar School for my son and I just want 1 form for his Nursery admission. Please let me know if there are any exceptions & if the admission is possible.

      1. No specific quota as such for Vasant Vihar Residents & Siblings, just they get a preference/ edge over others

      2. On the contrary, if you try to use influence, the School authorities will never admit your ward, further the school does not accept any donations for admissions.

    Today i have just enquired about other school nursery admission like Sri Maa and they are allocation students then why vasant vihar school admission is on HOLD. MAHARASHTRA'S EDUCATION DIRECTIVES will also be applicable to other state board schools.

      Dates for Online Registration for Nursery Academic Year 2016-2017 has been announced it is from 3rd December 2015 10.00 a.m. onward upto 10th December 2015 midnight.

      Children born between 1st June 2012 to 31st July 2013 are eligible for the Admission, for Online Registration you will have to

      For Jr. & Sr. Kg. Admission parents will have to wait until January-March 2016, Please check updates on www.gaet.edu.in
